Profile

As a technology manager, web developer, and software engineer I have a record of bringing ambitious user experiences to fruition; streamlining workflows and development processes; and leading teams. I am obsessed with user-centered development and excel at keeping technical and UX strategy focused on users. Essentially, I am a multi-disciplinary problem solver who loves delighting end-users while meeting business objectives.

Experience

CTO, The Barbarian Group – 2006-Present

Lead all technology efforts for highly successful interactive marketing firm. Collaborated with UX, Strategy, and Business departments to take projects from lead through to launch. Acted as technical face of the company with clients, press, publishers, and at conferences. Introduced agile methods and engineering rigor to a highly creative company. Ensured scalability, security, and flexibility in architectures. Helped expand the company across three cities and the addition of several departments.

Director of Technology, The Barbarian Group – 2005-2006

Lead development of individual projects and assisted CTO and other departments in estimation, pricing, experience, and strategy decisions. Mentored designers and developers.

Worked with several interactive marketing firms and advertising agencies on digital projects for brands.

Introduced Director of Technology role to EVB, a leading interactive marketing firm in SF. Lead development on several projects, interfaced with clients, and mentored team members during six month visit to San Francisco.
